Forged fittings are typically used in applications where high pressures, high temperatures or harsh operating conditions exist, such as in the oil and gas, chemical and petrochemical industries. There are different types of forged fittings available, including socket weld and threaded fittings. Socket weld fittings are welded to the pipe using fillet welds, while threaded fittings are screwed onto pipe threads.
