The needle valve operates by rotating the stem, which moves the needle-shaped core vertically relative to the seat. As the gap increases, the flow rate rises; as the gap decreases, flow is restricted until it is completely cut off. This allows for fine-tuned adjustment of reagents, hydraulic oils, and gases in laboratories and industrial processing.
