• System pressure acts on the disc from the inlet side.
• The pre-compressed spring keeps the disc tightly sealed under normal operation.
• When pressure reaches the set point, upward force overcomes spring force and the disc pops open instantly.
• High-velocity discharge stabilizes the valve in a full-open position for rapid pressure release.
• As pressure drops, the spring pushes the disc back to the seat for a leak-free seal.
